The Cass Foundation's 2013/2014 annual report is now available.
Our second year continued to provide ample evidence of the relevance of our work, which is to demonstrate the importance of people’s environment to their health, and we have attracted interest and support in all areas of our activities.
During the year we started on site with the River Alt Restoration Project, a £1.55m scheme to divert and de-culvert the River Alt at Stonebridge, Liverpool, restoring river habitats and creating a new riverside park.
We have continued our partnership with the Friends of Everton Park to develop and deliver improvements and activities in the park. We secured funding from Veolia Environmental Trust for the Woodland Walk project and began discussions with Run England about a 321 running route. We supported various health and wellbeing activities during the summer.
We remain committed to these areas and are planning to complement our activities there with new projects in Toxteth.
